About Aurora’s Scientific and Technological Institute

A urora's Scientific and Technological Institute (ASTI) was established in the year 2003 with the name Church Institute of Technology as a constituent college of Aurora Consortium under the patronage of Church Educational Society. Located in Aushapur, Ghatkesar, on the Warangal Highway, it is 20 kms from Uppal and 25 kms from Secunderabad Railway Station. The calm and serene atmosphere of the well laid out College campus, far away from the distractions and noise of the city provides a perfect setting for an undisturbed teaching and learning experience.

The College started its operations with three B. Tech. courses in EEE, ECE and CSE with an intake of 180 students and has expanded since then. The year 2005 saw its first expansion when the ECE course capacity was enhanced to 120 and an additional course in Bio Medical Engineering was introduced. In the year 2006, the intake was further increased with the CSE course capacity being enhanced to 120 and an additional IT course was also introduced. The year 2007 saw the introduction of Aeronautical Engineering. The current total intake is 876.

The College functions 6 days a week in order to provide students ample time for self-study and assignments. Saturdays may be used to compensate for working hours lost during the week on account of excess of holidays and for Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular Activities.
